>Wrong Mindset

I had lunch today with a work friend with the wrong mindset.

Having recently been told an abbreviated version of the “Baby sister learns that fiance is a Republican” story, she proceeds to tell me that she’s fond of Dubya’s personality.

Always the diplomat, I simply ask what she specifically likes about him.

What I thought would be a simple response turned into a diatribe on her parents’ voting habits.

I held my tongue and quietly listened as she proceeded to determine her very personal stance on a handful of important issues.

Sounds like a dem in elephant’s clothing to me.

In other news, today’s interviewing process has been a learning experience for me.

Today’s lesson: A little confidence goes a long way when it comes to impressing MJ.
